Make an erupting volcano!
You will need:
Vinegar (any kind)
Red food colouring (optional)
First, get your clay and roll it into a ball
Next, put your finger through the ball and make a hole. Don't let the hole go through the bottom!
Now, squeeze the top of the ball
Keep modelling until you get the shape of a volcano.
Paint your volcano what ever colour you like, be imaginative!
Now, put a teaspoon of baking soda into the hole
Pour in two teaspoons of vinegar into the hole
Finally, put in a teaspoon of red food colouring into the hole
Watch your volcano explode!
Make your own lava lamp
What you'll need:
A clear plastic bottle
Food colouring (colour of your choice)
Alka-Seltzer(You can buy this in most supermarkets)
Use your funnel to pour water into your plastic bottle until it is around one quarter 1/4 full.
Pour some vegetable oil into your bottle until the bottle is almost full.
Wait about 5 mins until the oil and water have separated.
Add 12 drops of food coloring into the bottle.
Watch as the food coloring falls through the oil and mixes with the water.
Cut an Alka-Seltzer tablet into 5 pieces and drop one of them into the bottle, it should look just like a real lava lamp!
When the bubbling slows down, add another piece of the Alka-Seltzer tablet and enjoy! Don't forget to put the bottle's lid back on!
